Chapter 2 - Your manager

In big bloated companies (BBC),managers usually have not much to do because there are so many of them. Fear not, they will figure out a way to stay busy by trying to do your job just not as effectively.

They will give you an assignment or a mission then when you are just about complete with the fact finding and ready to present the problem(s) and solutions, you find out they scheduled a meeting with the key executive you are dealing with to solve the same problem. Of course, they are not solving the same problem. They are solving the spin around it and then will come back and tell you to do something similar if not identical to what your fact finding already had identified.

Solution: find yourself a job at a startup or anywhere else without so many bloated managers. The message your manager is telling you is that, I don't need you , I can do your job. The fact he is wrong doesn't matter. Let him find out by himself when you are not around.
