Chapter 0 - The presentYou work for a Bloated Big Company (BBC). You are a technologist and a manager/leader. Though managing and leading are important and necessary contributors to success of any organization, you can't succeed without the right number of doers. The culture is one of blame passing, talking, spinning, meetings,summits all pretending to be useful work. What do you DO? If you see yourself as a leader as I do, you take on the challenge of fixing the root causes that cause the dysfunction. Of course, with direct authority over your team, the challenge though no less daunting , the organization has bestowed upon you some important and powerful levels to change behavior.
